Patriot Drilling Fluids, Q'Max alleged to have failed to pay technicians overtime

Law money 12

PITTSBURGH – A New York man employed by three oil and natural gas exploration and production companies alleges he is owed unpaid overtime wages.

Shawn Woloszyn filed a complaint on behalf of others similarly situated on Aug. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh Division against Patriot Drilling Fluids, Q'Max Solutions and Q'Max America Inc. citing the Fair Labor Standards Act and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff has worked for the defendant since February in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia as a solids control technician. He alleges he was paid a salary and classified as exempt from receiving overtime.

The plaintiff holds Patriot Drilling Fluids, Q'Max Solutions and Q'Max America Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay overtime wages at a rate of time-and-one-half to the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid back wages, liquidated damages, court costs, interest and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Joshua P. Geist of Goodrich & Geist PC in Pittsburgh.
