PHILADELPHIA – Two Philadelphia men are seeking damages after a fire allegedly caused by an appliance damaged their properties.

Zion Bakshi and Frank Garramone filed a complaint on Aug. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Gree Electric Appliances Inc. of Zhuhai, and Hong Kong Gree Electric Appliances Sales LTD, and Gree USA Inc. and MJC America LTD alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, a fire broke out a Rodman Street, Philadelphia property on April 26 that damaged the plaintiffs' adjacent properties. The plaintiffs allege the fire was caused by a dehumidifier manufactured by the defendants.
