Pittsburgh Glass Works claims Infor failed to provide software services promised

Late 03

ERIE – A supplier of automotive glass and related products alleges it paid millions for a software solution that allegedly failed.

Pittsburgh Glass Works LLC filed a complaint on Aug. 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Infor (US) Inc. alleging breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff contracted with the defendant in April 2016 to transition from its current business software to the defendant's cloud-based solution. It alleges it agreed to pay more than $5 million for access to the service.

The plaintiff states that the defendant failed to meet deadlines and that it terminated the project in April 2017, but the defendant refused to provide technical services unless the defendant paid for the terminated project in full. It is seeking the return of more than $2.3 million, the suit states.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks rescission of the work order, monetary judgment of more than $75,000 plus interest, injunctive relief, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Morgan J. Hanson and Christina Manfredi McKinley of Cohen & Grigsby PC in Pittsburgh.
