MEDIA — A patron is suing Harrah's Philadelphia Casino & Racetrack and Caesars Entertainment Operating Co. Inc., claiming that the defendants did not take sufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Quiana Brown filed a complaint June 21 in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, alleging that the defendants failed to properly train and supervise their employees.

According to the complaint, Brown claims she was injured on June 25, 2016 when a large box dropped on her right foot, resulting in nerve damage, tarsal tunnel syndrome, lower back pain and medical expenses.

Brown said the defendants should be held responsible because their employees allegedly did not ask patrons to move as they attempted to move the large box.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks a judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs, pre-judgment and post-judgment interest and other appropriate relief. She is represented by R. Mark Taneyhill of Schwartz & Schwartz in Dover.
