PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh public transportation is dangerous, a new lawsuit from a Bethel Park couple alleges.

The recently filed case from Ann and Douglas Zalla against the Port Authority of Allegheny County alleges Ann was using the defendant’s light rail service, known as the “T,” in August 2018 when a metal ceiling panel swung downward and hit her in the head.

The suit says she suffered a concussion, as well as headaches, nausea, light sensitivity and emotional distress, among other things.

“The permanent loss of bodily functions and damages to Ann K. Zalla were caused solely, directly, and proximately as a result of the negligence of the Port Authority of Allegheny County,” the lawsuit claims.

The Zallas’ lawyer is Mark Conboy of Conboy Law in Pittsburgh.
