Karen Romano is Chief Deputy Attorney General in charge of the Civil Litigation Section of the Office of Attorney General (OAG) where she oversees a team of 27 litigators. Her team defends the Commonwealth’s agencies, officials and employees in a variety of civil litigation matters. Prior to joining the OAG in 2016, Romano spent 15 years practicing in the area of insurance defense both in private firms and as staff counsel for Liberty Mutual Insurance. She is a 2001 graduate of the Duquesne University Thomas R. Kline School of Law.
