PITTSBURGH - A man fixing shutters on a Pittsburgh house is suing after a wasp attack caused him to fall off his ladder.

Glenn Reed, a resident of Pittsburgh filed a lawsuit Feb. 8 against homeowner Joseph Howard in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County. The complaint stems from an incident that occurred on August 25, 2023, when Reed was invited to Howard's property to fix some window shutters.

According to the court filing, Reed climbed a ladder to start replacing the shutters and was attacked by multiple wasps nesting in the premises. This led him to fall off his ladder and suffer serious injuries and damages.

Reed alleges that Howard knew or should have known about the dangerous condition on his property and failed to warn him.

Reed is represented by Chaffin Luhana LLP, with attorneys Mark J. Malone, Eric Chaffin, and Patrick Booth handling the case.
