Allentown woman sues Florida collection agency claiming harassment

Phone

PHILADELPHIA – An Allentown woman is suing a Florida-based collection agency for repeatedly calling her cellphone over a debt collection she said actually belongs to her soon-to-be ex-husband.

Rossana Quattrrocchi filed a lawsuit Nov. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Enhanced Recovery Co. LLC, alleging a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and harassment.

Beginning in January, Enhanced Recovery, according to the lawsuit, continuously and repeatedly contacted Quattrrocchi on her cellphone to collect a consumer debt. She asked them to stop calling her, adding that the debt belongs to Colin Johnston Mosher, her soon-to-be ex-husband. The lawsuit claims that Enhanced Recovery kept calling her – and did so for the next nine months.

Quattrrocchi is seeking statutory damages of $1,000 for the alleged violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, as well as all reasonable attorneys’ fees, witness fees, court costs and other litigation-incurred costs.

She is being represented by Craig Thor Kimmel of Kimmel & Silverman PC of Ambler.
