SCRANTON – A Pennsylvania woman is suing a Montgomeryville health care business, alleging she was fired for objecting to her supervisor’s sexual harassment.
Erin K. Wilson filed a lawsuit Feb. 8 in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Advanced Urgent Care PC, Advanced Urgent Care of Montgomeryville LLC and Incare LLC, alleging violations of state and federal civil rights and discrimination laws.
According to the complaint, Wilson served as a radiology tech for the defendants beginning in 2011. The suit says Wilson was sexually harassed by a supervisor, Dr. Medhi Nikparver, who made lewd, vulgar and inappropriate comments to her.
When she complained about his behavior, the lawsuit states, Nikparver accused her of lying about needing medical leave and falsifying time sheets, and ultimately terminated her employment Jan. 8, 2014.
Wilson seeks a jury trial, punitive and compensatory damages, plus litigation costs. She is represented by attorney Solomon Z. Krevsky of Clark & Krevsky LLC in Lemoyne.
