PHILADELPHIA — A woman is suing Northeast Credit & Collection Inc. and Equifax Information Services LLC, citing alleged misrepresentation in debt collection and negligent misrepresentation.

Mississippi resident Lisa K. Moore filed a complaint on July 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they reported derogatory and inaccurate statements pertaining to her credit history.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she has been denied in various loan applications and extensions of consumer credits. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly providing third parties with inaccurate information regarding her credit history.

The plaintiff seeks actual damages, statutory damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Mark D. Mailman, John Soumilas, and Geoffrey H. Baskerville of Francis & Mailman, P.C. in Philadelphia.
