Doctor claims violation of wage laws

Wrongful term 09

PHILADELPHIA — A former employee is suing Ophthalmology Physicians and Surgeons, PC., Francis J. Clark M.D., and Wade, Goldstein, Landau Abruzzo PC., citing alleged breach of contract, retaliation, unpaid wages, violation of wage laws and wrongful termination.

Susan Wilton, M.D., filed a complaint on July 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they failed to fairly compensate the plaintiff for all hours she worked.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was not paid for all of the hours she worked and was accused of breaching her employment agreement as retaliation for complaining. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly wage laws and breached a contract.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, injunctive and declaratory relief, liquidated damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief as this court grants. She is represented by Timothy M. Kolman, Wayne A. Ely and W. Charles Sipio of Kolman Ely, P.C. in Penndel.
