Government claims debt wasn't repaid

PITTSBURGH — The federal government is suing Chad G. Chronick, alleging unpaid debt.

The United States of America filed a complaint on July 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Chad G. Chronick, alleging that he failed to settle his debt to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that United States of America suffered damages resulting from an unpaid debt. The plaintiff holds Chronick responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay plaintiff for the principal amount plus interest of the debt despite the plaintiff's demands.

The plaintiff seeks principal balance of $16,325.01 plus interest of $7,415.55, making the total $23,740.56, attorney's fees at 30 percent of $23,740.56, court costs and any further relief this court grants. It is represented by Robert S. Bernstein of Bernstein-Burkley, P.C. in Pittsburgh.
