PITTSBURGH — A Pennsylvania business is suing Robert L. Adderton, a former employee, citing alleged breach of contract and unfair competition.
Foundation Radiology Inc. filed a complaint on Aug. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Adderton, alleging that the former employee retained the plaintiff's confidential information upon his resignation from the company.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2016, Foundation Radiology Inc. suffered damages to its business from the use of its confidential to aid its competitors. The plaintiff holds Adderton responsible because the defendant allegedly disclosed the confidential information he took from the plaintiff to its competitors.
The plaintiff seeks to enjoin the defendant, a requirement for the defendant to return all the plaintiff's property, compensatory damages, interest, punitive damages, double damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Bethany C. Salvatore, Tiffany A. Jenca and Jaime Tuite of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC in Pittsburgh.
