PHILADELPHIA — Five employees have filed a class action lawsuit against Verizon Communications Inc., Tesing LLC, Evans Splicing LLC and PS Splicing LLC, employer, alleging violation of wage laws.

Robert Donoghue, Robert Kicklighter, Thomas Adams, Terri Barrett and Mark Daillo filed a complaint on Sept. 1, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they failed to fairly compensate the plaintiffs for all their work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that in 2016, each of them worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because they allegedly violated the law by not paying an overtime premium for hours worked in excess of 40 per week.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek compensatory damages, all overtime compensation owed, liquidated damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by David J. Cohen of Stephan Zouras, LLP in Philadelphia and Ryan F. Stephan and Andrew Ficzko of Stephan Zouras, LLP in Chicago.
