PENNSYLVANIA -- A married couple's lawsuit against State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, a/k/a State Farm Insurance Company, alleges breach of contract.
Thomas E. Roberts and Theresa L. Roberts filed a complaint on Sept. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendant, alleging it failed to properly evaluate their claim for insurance coverage regarding the underinsured motorist provision of their policy.

The plaintiffs hold their insurer responsible for allegedly failing to offer a reasonable payment and failing to perform a reasonable investigation regarding their claim.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $150,000. They are represented by J. Patrick Holahan II of J. Patrick Holahan II & Associates LLC in Kennett Square.
