C&D Coal Company accused of breaching contract

PITTSBURGH — Two Pennsylvania corporations are suing C&D Coal Company LLC, citing alleged breach of contract.

Kingston Coal Company and Kingston Gas Company filed a complaint on Oct. 6 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against C&D Coal Company LLC, alleging that the Pennsylvania company breached its contractual agreement with the plaintiffs by failing to pay a deposit on the agreed date for performing mining operations.

According to the complaint, Kingston Coal Company and Kingston Gas Company suffered monetary damages. The plaintiffs holds C&D Coal Company LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the unpaid balance due to the plaintiffs.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant for damages plus interest, legal fees and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Anthony Cillo of Cohen & Grigsby, P.C. in Pittsburgh.
