PITTSBURGH — A labor group is suing Allegheny High Lift Inc., an employer, citing alleged breach of contract.
Operating Engineers Local 66, AFL-CIO and Construction Industry Combined Funds Inc., as agent for the Operating Engineers Local 66 Contribution Account, filed a complaint on Oct. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Allegheny High Lift Inc., alleging that the employer failed to pay plaintiff for wage deductions.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages due to unpaid and late paid contributions. The plaintiffs holds Allegheny High Lift, Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly breached the bargaining agreement with the plaintiffs by failing to pay them their monthly contributions on behalf of employees.
The plaintiffs seek an injunction, money judgment in the amount of $8,002.54 plus interest at 6 percent legal rate, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Jeffrey J. Leech and Neil J. Gregorio of Tucker Arensberg, P.C. in Pittsburgh.
