Home Depot shopper alleges filter box fell on her, injured head

PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia woman alleges she suffered a head injury while shopping at a home improvement store.

Constance Cascarino filed a complaint on Nov. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against The Home Depot Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 4, she suffered injuries when a box of filters fell on her head while shopping at a Philadelphia Home Depot store. The plaintiff holds The Home Depot Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep the premises in a safe condition and other counts.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $150,000. She is represented by Derek E. Jokelson and David E. Jokelson of Jokelson Law Group PC in Philadelphia.
