PHILADELPHIA – A Merion Station man alleges he is being harassed in the collection of an alleged debt.

Robert M. Morris filed a complaint on Nov. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Vital Recovery Services LLC citing the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Pennsylvania Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he returned a leased Nissan Leaf to Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. in excellent condition, but was later told he owed more than $1,500 for a disposition fee. The suit state the defendant was assigned to collect this alleged debt. The plaintiff alleges this is a false and misleading representation.

The plaintiff holds Vital Recovery Services LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly continues to contact the plaintiff after being advised he is represented by counsel.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, treble damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Brent F. Vullings of Vullings Law Group LLC in Collegeville.
