Simio LLC claims Utah company is selling infringing simulation software

Patents 05

ERIE – A Sewickley business that creates and markets simulation software alleges a Utah company has developed an infringing program.

Simio LLC filed a complaint on Nov. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Flexsim Software Products Inc. alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds Flexsim Software Products Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly manufactures and sells FlexSim 2016, which the plaintiff claims infringes at least one or more claims of the '468 patent currently registered to the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to permanently enjoin the defendant, all damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by David F. Oberdick, Tony J. Thompson and Michael G. Monyok of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP in Pittsburgh.
