PHILADELPHIA — A Harrisburg couple are suing an Ohio-based company, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries, liability and negligence.

Gerald Page and Maryanna Page filed a complaint on Feb. 1, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Kellermeyer Bergensons Services LLC, John Does 1-10 and X,Y,Z corporation, alleging that they carelessly placed a rug on the floor which blocked the ingress and egress from the hall.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Feb. 15, 2015, Gerald Page sustained several physical injuries, including a concussion and neck and spine injury, when he tripped and fell because a rug blocked an entryway. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to warn the plaintiff about the rug.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $500,000, $1,500 collectively, court costs and any further relief this court grants.
