PHILADELPHIA — A Brookhaven couple are suing the maker of lawn care equipment, citing alleged design defect and product liability.
Daniel Thomas Pearson and Frances Pearson filed a complaint on Feb. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Alberto Manzon and Exnovo, LLC
alleging that they manufactured and distributed defective Orbitrim gas trimmer heads to consumers.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that Daniel Pearson sustained physical injuries when a piece of the Orbitrim broke off and struck his foot. The plaintiffs hold Manzon and Exnovo responsible because they allegedly failed to warn the plaintiffs about the defective nature of the product.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $75,000 plus any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Scott A. Portner and Michael J. Veneziani of Freedman & Lorry P.C. in Philadelphia.
