PITTSBURGH — A oil-field worker is suing Killion and Sons Well Service Inc., an oil-field services contractor, citing alleged unpaid wages, violation of applicable minimum wage law, violation of state law and violation of Workers' Compensation acts.
Michael Stone filed a complaint on April 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Killion and Sons alleging that the employer, at its Washington County location, failed to provide proper compensation to the plaintiff for his work.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he sustained damages from not being paid overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Killion and Sons responsible because it allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff for regularly working more than 40 hours per week.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all unpaid wages, overtime wages, interest, liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Samuel J. Pasquarelli of Sherrard, German & Kelly P.C. in Pittsburgh.
