PITTSBURGH — An employee is suing Killion and Sons Well Service Inc., an oil-field services company, citing alleged unpaid wages, violation of applicable minimum wage law, violation of state law and violation of Workers' Compensation acts.
Derek Behrens filed a complaint on April 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Killion and Sons alleging that the employer failed to provide proper compensation to the plaintiff for his work.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he sustained damages from not being paid overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Killion and Sons responsible because it allegedly paid the plaintiff on a per-day basis regardless of the total hours worked per week.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid wages, overtime wages, interest, liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Samuel J. Pasquarelli of Sherrard, German & Kelly P.C. in Pittsburgh.
