PHILADELPHIA — A company offering weight-loss programs is suing ABC Co. d/b/a DietInsight, which allegedly is affiliated with plaintiff's competitors, citing alleged negligent misrepresentation and unfair competition.

Golo LLC filed a complaint on May 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Dietinsight alleging that it made false and misleading representations of the plaintiff's services on its website.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Golo sustained financial damages and damages to its reputation because of the actions of the defendant. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because it allegedly engaged in making false statements regarding the plaintiff's weight-loss programs.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for compensatory and punitive damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. It is represented by M. Kelly Tillery of Pepper Hamilton LLP in Philadelphia.
