PHILADELPHIA — A railyard worker is suing Tyburn Railroad LLC, alleging liability and negligence for a workplace accident involving a vehicle.

Jimmy R. Stormant of Morristown filed a complaint on May 22 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania alleging that the employer failed to provide a reasonably safe work environment to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, in July 2014, he was injured when the work vehicle he was operating at the defendant's Morristown facility malfunctioned, causing injuries to his spine. The plaintiff holds Tyburn Railroad responsible because it allegedly failed to warn the plaintiff regarding the defective condition of the vehicle being operated by the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $150,000. He is represented by Leanne Lane Coyle of Keller & Goggin P.C. in Philadelphia.
