PHILADELPHIA — A labor group is suing Iron City Glazing Inc. of Bethel Park, alleging breach of contract relating to a collective bargaining agreement.

The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council No. 57 and its related funds filed a complaint on June 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Iron City Glazing Inc. The complaint alleges that the employer failed to remit its monthly contribution to the labor group.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the labor group was financially harmed due to unpaid and late contributions. The plaintiff holds Iron City Glazing responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay its employees' contributions to the various funds.

The plaintiff seeks permanent injunction, the amount of $18,732, plus liquidated damages of 10 percent, attorney fees of 20 percent, court costs and any further relief the court grants. The union is represented by Jeffrey J. Leech and Neil J. Gregorio of Tucker Arensberg P.C. in Pittsburgh.
