Justice Everywhere Productions accuses individuals of illegally distributing Nicolas Cage film via bit torrent

PHILADELPHIA — A Georgia company is suing unknown individuals, John Does 1-6, for alleged copyright infringement of its film "Vengeance: A Love Story."

Justice Everywhere Productions LLC filed a complaint on June 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendants made unauthorized copies of the movie, which features actor Nicolas Cage.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it sustained damages to its business as the result of motion picture being distributed without its permission. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly downloading and making copies of the film using bit torrent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant, statutory damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Charles Thomas and Lee M. Herman of Creative Rights Law Group PLLC in Media.
