PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia consumer alleges a debt collector damaged her credit score by its failure to mark an account as disputed.

Jessica Wilson filed a complaint on July 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against LVNV Funding LLC alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she disputed an alleged debt with the defendant and that the defendant failed to mark the account as disputed on her credit report.

The plaintiff holds LVNV Funding LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly damaged her credit score because the defendant failed to mark the account or remove the trade line.

The plaintiff seeks actual damages, statutory damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Antranig Garibian of Garibian Law Offices P.C. in Philadelphia.
