Arcadia Recovery Bureau alleged to have listed debt collection language on envelope

Late 02

PHILADELPHIA – A Collegeville consumer alleges that a debt collector used unfair and unconscionable means to collect a debt.

Michelle W. Vullings filed a complaint on behalf of herself and all others similarly situated on Sept. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Arcadia Recovery Bureau LLC alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was damaged from receiving a collection letter from the defendant showing the name of the debt collector clearly visible on the envelope, which she alleges damaged her privacy. The plaintiff holds Arcadia Recovery Bureau LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly violated the FDCPA by placing language or symbols on the envelope that concerns debt collection.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, declaratory relief, court costs and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Brent F. Vullings of Vullings Law Group LLC in Collegeville.
