READING – An Allentown man alleges he was terminated in retaliation for his complaints of not receiving overtime pay.

Moen Haider filed a complaint on Oct. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Liberty Lunch, Singh's Bar and Grill, and Indian Cafe citing the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Pennsylvania Wage Payment Collection Law and the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was hired by the defendants in 2012 and regularly worked more than 90 hours per week. The suit states his last day with the defendants was April 5.

The plaintiff holds Liberty Lunch, Singh's Bar and Grill and Indian Cafe responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay overtime premiums to the plaintiff and terminated him when he complained of the unpaid overtime.

The plaintiff seeks compensation of all wages owed, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Jonathan W. Chase of Kraemer, Manes & Associates LLC in Philadelphia.
