Adult motion picture owner alleges BitTorrent user infringed 53 films

PHILADELPHIA – A Pennsylvania individual is alleged to have unlawfully downloaded and distributed adult films online.

Strike 3 Holdings LLC filed a complaint on Jan. 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against John Doe subscriber assigned IP address 174.60.207.61 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is the owner of adult motion pictures. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant used BitTorrent to download and make copies of 53 of plaintiff's motion pictures and distribute to other users using the same software.

The plaintiff alleges it has traced the defendant's IP address to a physical address in this court's district.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant from further infringing its works, for the defendant to delete and permanently remove all infringing media files, statutory damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Christian Moffitt and Andrew W. Bonekemper of Fox Rothschild LLP in Blue Bell.
