PHILADELPHIA – A Florida consumer alleges his credit score has been damaged because of inaccurate information.
Enrique Juarez filed a complaint on Feb. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Trans Union LLC, Equifax Information Services LLC, Experian Information Solutions Inc. and Verizon Wireless LLC alleging violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Verizon Wireless reported an account to the defendant credit bureaus that does not belong to him. He alleges he disputed the accuracy of the trade line with the credit bureaus in November 2017 but the trade line is still listed on his account.
The plaintiff holds Trans Union LLC, Equifax Information Services LLC, Experian Information Solutions Inc. and Verizon Wireless LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to perform reasonable reinvestigation of the dispute.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, punitive damages, order the defendant to permanently delete all inaccurate information relating to the plaintiff's account and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Brent F. Vullings of Vullings Law Group LLC in Collegeville.
