Pittsburgh resident alleged to have violated contract with TIAA-CREF Individual & Institutional Services

Contract 08

PITTSBURGH – A New York company alleges a Pittsburgh resident has damaged it by allegedly violating an agreement.

TIAA-CREF Individual & Institutional Services LLC filed a complaint on Feb. 22 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against Sharon Reese alleging breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty/duty of loyalty.

According to the complaint, the defendant is a former financial adviser employed by the plaintiff who resigned in October 2017 without any prior notice to work for a competitor. The plaintiff alleges the defendant has violated her confidentiality and nonsolicitation agreement.

The plaintiff holds Reese responsible because the defendant allegedly violated her employment contract with the plaintiff by taking steps to deprive the plaintiff of clients.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant, injunctive relief, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Christopher C. Coss of Coss & Momjian LLP in Bala Cynwyd and Howard J. Schulberg of Goehring, Rutter & Boehm in Pittsburgh.
