Life Insurance Company of North America accused of breaching contract

PHILADELPHIA — A woman is suing Life Insurance Company of North America for allegedly terminating her disability benefits.

Margaret Disanto filed a complaint on March 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant refused to give her disability benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she became disabled due to several medical conditions, including a lower back injury, and applied for disability benefits. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly terminating her disability benefits, allegedly claiming that she was no longer disabled.

The plaintiff would like the defendant to continue paying disability benefits and declare that the she is disabled. She also is seeking court costs, interest and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Halmon L. Banks III of Banks Law in Philadelphia.
