Avenue to Close Settlement Services LLC allegedly disbursed funds to unknown third party

PITTSBURGH — A company is suing Avenue to Close Settlement Services LLC and Christopher Phillips for alleged negligence.

AIH LLC filed a complaint on March 16 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, alleging that the defendants disbursed its funds to an unknown third party.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered financial losses due to allegedly not receiving the purchase price that allegedly was agreed upon for the sale of a property. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly admitting that they had disbursed its settlement funds to an unknown third party.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in the amount of $56,997.85 plus interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by William G. Ball of Fiscus & Ball P.C. in Pittsburgh.
