PHILADELPHIA — An individual has filed a class action suit against Macy's Inc., Department Stores National Bank, FDS Bank and Macy's Customer Credit and Services Inc. for allegedly violating telephone harassment statutes.

Andrew Perrong filed a complaint on April 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, claiming that the defendants violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he received 30 non-consensual, non-emergency collection calls with pre-recorded or artificial voices. He claims that he also was charged for the calls. 

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly making non-nemergency, pre-recorded calls to his cellular telephone number. He claims that he was charged for the calls without his consent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages of $1,500, costs, attorney's fees and such further relief as the court deems necessary. He is represented by Clayton S. Morrow of Morrow & Artim PC in Pittsburgh.
