PHILADELPHIA — A franchisee is suing 7-Eleven Inc. for allegedly breaching their franchise agreement.

Anthony Chong and MT133132 Inc. filed a complaint on April 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant breached its duties of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant initiated new policies and charges that allegedly were designed to diminish his profits. The plaintiff further alleges that the defendant failed to change store products and marketing "despite the ever-changing market and the expectations of consumers." As a result of the defendant's alleged actions, the plaintiff claims that his net income diminished.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and punitive damages, attorney's fees, costs and any further relief that is equitable and just. He is represented by Ahmed M. Soliman of Soliman & Associates PC in Cherry Hill, N.J.
