PHILADELPHIA — A Haitian woman is suing her former employer, RC Operator LLC d/b/a Willow Terrace, for alleged racial discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.

Dieudonne Jean filed a complaint on April 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant violated the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was fired because she had complained about being subjected to racial discrimination and a hostile work environment. As a result, the plaintiff claims that she has suffered financial damages.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and punitive damages, costs, expenses and all other just and proper relief. She is represented by Ari R. Karpf of Karpf, Karpf & Cerutti PC in Bensalem.
