Former employee claims Pittsburgh Steak owes him $67,500

Contract 07

PITTSBURGH — A former employee is suing Judy Williamson and John C. Williamson Co. LLC, which does business as Pittsburgh Steak Co., claiming the defendants breached an agreement.

Michael Thomas filed a complaint in the Allegheny County Courts of Common Pleas against the defendants, alleging that they failed to make agreed payments.

According to the complaint, Thomas entered into a contract with the defendants on Dec. 3, 2016 under which the employers were required to pay him an annual salary of $75,000. However, after the contract was signed, Thomas claims the defendants informed him that they would be unable to pay his salary in full.

Thomas said he also provided a loan to defendants, totaling $40,000, in order to help operate their business. As of Feb. 6, Thomas said the defendants owed him $27,500 in back pay and $40,000 on the loan.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks total damages of $67,500, as well as all other legal relief. He is represented by Prabhu Narahari of Kraemer, Manes & Associates LLC in Pittsburgh.
