An adhesive company is suing a former high-level employee for alleged breach of contract and stealing trade secrets.
Adhesives Research Inc., of Glen Rock, filed the lawsuit Feb. 13 in U.S. District Court of Eastern Pennsylvania against Susan Newsom.
According to the complaint, in 2014, Newsom resigned her job after 14 years with the company. She signed a non-compete agreement but then took a job with a competing company, the suit states.
The plaintiff seeks an order to stop Newsom’s alleged breach of contract as well as monetary damages and attorney fees. The company is represented by attorney Richard L. Hackman of Barley Snyder in York.
