The Pennsylvania Bar Association announced last week that it has given its

Lifetime Achievement Award to Albert Momjian and its Eric Turner Memorial Award to Lynne Gold-Bikin.

Momjian, who is a retired partner with Philadelphia-based Schnader Attorneys At Law, was a strong force behind the development and advancement of the field of family law in the commonwealth, according to the PBA’s Family Law Section, which presented the two awards during the section’s winter meeting at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel on Jan. 18

Momjian, who once co-chaired the Committee to Consolidate Pennsylvania

Family Laws, served as a consultant to the state House and Senate Judiciary Committees during the passage of the Divorce Code back in 1980.

He is a past chairman of the PBA Family Law Section and the association’s Animal Law Committee, and he is a past director of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and a past president of the Doris Jonas Freed American Inn of Court.

Momjian is a graduate of Columbia University Law School.

Gold-Bikin, a partner at the Norristown law firm of Weber Gallagher, received the Eric Turner Memorial Award for her work in family law and her dedication to teaching fellow attorneys.

The veteran lawyer teaches at the Houston Family Law Trial Institute and she presents at seminars offered by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, which is the education arm of the PBA.

Gold-Bikin, who authored the Divorce Practice Handbook in 1994, has previously served on various PBA Family Law Section committees, and she is a long-time member of the association’s Commission on Women in the Profession, according to the PBA.

She has also served on the PBA’s Judicial Administration and Children’s Rights Committees.

Gold-Bikin has served as a Pennsylvania delegate to the American Bar Association’s House of Delegates.

Gold-Bikin obtained her law degree at Villanova University School of Law.
