An Alabama woman has filed a personal injury lawsuit against Target Corporation after she slipped on a wet floor at a Philadelphia branch of the retail giant.
Jessica Naomi-Jackson, of Homewood, Ala., filed the complaint at the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, claiming that representatives at the store located on Monument Ave. in Philadelphia showed negligence by not properly removing or repairing whatever substance contributed to the slippery floor.
According to court documents, while shopping in the store in July 2012, Naomi-Jackson walked on the wet floor and fell violently to the ground, causing injury to her head, neck, knees and bones.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. She is represented by Louis Himmelstein in Philadelphia.
