A woman who claims she slipped on a wet floor in her hotel room at Trump Plaza on the Boardwalk is suing.
In a lawsuit removed from the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia to the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on June 24, Trina Spicer says she was several months pregnant when the incident occurred May 12, 2012.
Spicer claims she suffered permanent injuries in the fall including complications with her pregnancy and delivery and ongoing lower back pain.
She claims the defendant is negligent for allowing a dangerous condition to exist in the room - a wet floor coming from a leak in the room; failing to inspect the premises and failing to warn guests of the conditions.
Spicer says she has incurred medical expenses and has been prevented from attending to usual and customary duties. She seeks in excess of $50,000 in damages.
The defendant is represented by Jamie P. Vaughan of Marks, O'Neill, O'Brien, Doherty & Kelly in Philadelphia.
Spicer is represented by Leonard K. Hill of Hill & Associates of Philadelphia.
