Employee alleges workplace sexual harassment

PHILADELPHIA - A female employee is suing her former employer, alleging a pattern of sexual harassment that ended in her termination.

Natalie Ann Sivo, of Levittown, filed a lawsuit July 27 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Airline Hydraulic Corp., alleging violations of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the state Human Relations Act.

According to the complaint, Sivo, 33, was hired as a warehouse associate by the defendant in October 2013, and was "subjected to inappropriate sexual comments by coworkers including but not limited to spreading rumors that plaintiff had slept with people in the office when she had not, asking the plaintiff to 'rub bellies in the shower' and making comments to plaintiff about sucking on 'silicone tits.'''

The suit says although Sivo complained to human resources in May 2014, she was told "What do you want me to do? You complain all the time." On June 3, 2014, she was fired, and when asked why, she was told that she "caused too much drama," the lawsuit states.

Sivo seeks an injunction against the defendant acting this way in the future, unspecified compensation, actual and punitive damages, plus court costs. She is represented by attorney Ari R. Karpf of Karpf, Karpf & Cerutti in Bensalem.
