PHILADELPHIA -- A Maryland couple recently sued their Huntingdon, Pennsylvania wedding photographers for allegedly using their pictures on company promotional materials without permission.
Samantha and Eric Hines filed the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on Oct. 22 alleging invasion of privacy and copyright infringement against The Pro's Entertainment Services, Inc.. The couple alleges that the photographers disregarded an agreement not to use their wedding photos in any promotions or advertisements. Samantha Hines alleges that in June she saw her 2014 wedding photos in company brochures despite promising that they would keep them private.
The Hines seek unspecified compensatory damages, plus punitive damages, attorney fees and costs of litigation. The plaintiffs are represented by Mark L. Rhodes of Philadelphia.
