Philadelphia health care company allegedly failed to pay overtime

PHILADELPHIA -- Two employees recently sued a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania health care facility over alleged unpaid overtime. 

Mary Ann Fisher, who is a medical auditor and admissions counselor, and Deborah Waters, who is a case manager and admissions counselor, filed suit against the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in the U.S. 

District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on Oct. 21. The two plaintiffs allege that the medical facility violated the Fair Labor Standards Act and Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Law by failing to compensate them for overtime hours worked. 

The plaintiffs are demanding compensation for all overtime owed, plus damages and costs. In addition, the plaintiffs ask that the defendant cease violating laws related to overtime pay. They are represented by Richard S. Swartz of Swartz Swidler LLC in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
