SCRANTON, Pa. -- A Bradford County couple is suing a towing company after the company allegedly invaded and damaged their personal property.

Carol and Brent Beidelman filed a complaint on Nov. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against A1 Towing and Recovery LLC, alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

The plaintiffs allege that on Nov. 23, A1 Towing invaded their property with the purpose of repossessing the couple's vehicle, a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 truck.

According to the complaint, Brent Beidelman questioned A1, asking questions about the towing and standing in front of the vehicle. When he asked the towing company to leave his property, the towers refused and proceeded to drop the tow truck to the ground in order to secure the plaintiff's vehicle. This act caused damage to the plaintiff's property.

The Beidelmans are suing A1 claiming that it was a violation of the FDCPA and an invasion of property.

The couple seeks compensation for all damages to their property as well as all legal fees. They are represented by Michael P. Forbes of the Law of Michael P. Forbes PC in Wayne.
