Agediscrimination

PITTSBURGH – A Hollidaysburg woman is suing her former employer over allegations of discrimination due to her age and disabilities.

Robin Litzinger filed a complaint Dec. 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries, claiming discrimination.

According to the complaint, Litzinger, 61, was employed by the defendant during a period of 28 years, and during her time of employment she claims that she performed excellently. Despite the years of faithful service, however, the plaintiff was dismissed from her position because of her age, the suit states. In addition to her age, Litzinger allegedly also suffered from back pain.

Litzinger is seeking compensation for lost benefits, wages and all case-related expenses. She is represented by Jerome K. Kaharick of Jerome K. Kaharick and Associates in Johnstown.
