Lawyer

PHILADELPHIA – A New Jersey man is suing a health care agency over claims that its inadequate care was the cause of his wife's death.

John Simmons filed a complaint on Dec. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Simpson House, Simpson House Foundation, Solis Healthcare Inc. and Prime Healthcare Services-Roxborough, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Simmons' wife, Ola, was admitted into Simpson House Nursing Home during the years of 2013 and 2014. During her time at the home, Ola Simmons contracted a number of infections and medical conditions, which resulted in her eventual death, the complaint states.

Simmons seeks compensation of more than $75,000 for all damages suffered, mental, financial and emotional, as well as legal fees. He is represented by Rhonda Hill Wilson of The Law Offices of Rhona Hill Wilson PC in Philadelphia.
